A few words about
What We Do
Our Services
Our organization offers educational and supportive services to women and men post diagnosis to improve their overall quality of life.
We have several programs that offer various services that focus on education and awareness, physical and emotional support, and community engagement.
Survivors health initiative program (ship)
SHIP is a cost-free survivorship program that offers comprehensive educational and supportive care services to address cancer control issues and associated chronic comorbidities. Activities that focus on nutrition, physical activity and support services are tailored for breast cancer survivors and their families.
Celebrate Life Program
Provides access to low and no cost screening and navigator services to those who otherwise could not afford them, which is a very important experience of the cancer journey.
Reach program
Trains lay advisors and cancer survivors to provide face to face assistance to women and men at various stages of breast, cervical or prostate cancer diagnosis and recovery. Service include pre and post treatment visits, wellness baskets supplied to newly diagnosed patients and peer support.
sunshine volunteer
Volunteers follow-up with survivors during and post treatment to encourage engagement, request status updates if they are willing, and provide spiritual and emotional support as they continue on their cancer journey to a new normal. Survivors also receive gift baskets as a small token of appreciation and provide a reason for a smile.
Support Group
Support groups provide a safe haven to share sensitive experiences and exchange life saving information in a relaxed, confidential atmosphere.
